AT News Report

KABUL: Militants released eight deminers unharmed in Logar province a day after their abduction, on Saturday.
The provincial police chief, Abdul Hakim Ishaqzai, said that the armed militants the other day kidnapped two staffers and six drivers of Hello Trust, a mine clearance organization.
The militants also set ablaze six vehicles of the non-profit organization, including two ambulances, he added.
Ishaqzai said that the militants had taken the captives to Mohammad Agha district of the province.
This came almost a month after Taliban fighters shot dead 12 demining workers and wounded six others in southern Helmand province.
