Shatrughan Sinha is fine but will stay in hospital: Doctors
Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, who is being treated at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for a breathing problem, is now “absolutely fine” but he can't go home as yet, say doctors.
The actor-politician, father of rising actress Sonakshi Sinha, was admitted to the hospital on Monday afternoon.
"Mr Sinha is stable and is doing well. We are just re-adjusting his medication for the breathing problem that he came with. He is absolutely fine now but we are not discharging him on the weekend. We will take a call on when to discharge him on Monday," Ram Narain, COO, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, told IANS.
The 66-year-old actor had developed breathing difficulties as a result of an allergic reaction to house painting.
His wife, Poonam Sinha, and his sons, Luv and Kush, have been by his side.
In the industry since 1970, Shatrughan is known for films Kalicharan, Blackmail, Dostana and Shaan. He later entered politics and is currently the Bharatiya Janata party MP for Patna Saheb, Bihar.
Meanwhile, Kush has revealed his sister Sonakshi will play the lead in his directorial debut. The film will also star his twin brother Luv, he said.
“I believe it is common sense. When I have two actors in my house, why wouldn’t I use them? Most probably the film should go on floors next year.” Kush, who had earlier assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Saawariya and Abhinav Kashyap in Dabangg, however refused to divulge any details about the film.
“It’s way too early to talk about my film right now. Making movies takes time and it is in its scripting stage right now,” he said.
While Sonakshi is riding high after two back-to-back hits — “Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore — Luv made a less successful Bollywood debut 2010’s Sadiyaan. --(IANs)
